The Mug Club

The Mug Club is the heart of the Roses’ community.

Roses’ is a family-owned business and we extend that warmth and sense of belonging to everyone who walks through our doors. By joining the mug club, and choosing your mug from our collection, a piece of you will always be at Roses’. We commission bespoke, one-of-a-kind mugs from some of the Bay Area’s most skilled artisans.

~ Membership Perks ~

• A weekly free pour of draft beer, wine, cider, or N/A beverage

• $2 off draft beer AND a monthly featured wine, cider, and N/A beverage every time you come in

• 20% discount on bottles & cans to-go (includes beer, cider, wine, N/A cans)  

• You can enjoy any of these beverages in your mug (or in house glassware, we know wine in a mug is a stretch). If you ever decide to cancel your membership, your mug is yours to keep

• Members are encouraged to come enjoy their free beverage and share their thoughts with Roses’ staff, we love hearing your experience of our ever-changing menu

~ The Details ~

• Membership costs $40 per month, charged to your credit card automatically

• There is a 3-month membership minimum at the time of sign up. The first automatic payment will happen 3 months from your sign up date

• Membership can be cancelled at any time at Roses’ Taproom. If you ever need to cancel your membership by phone or email, you or a friend must retrieve your mug within 30 days

~ New Mugs by Angela Su ~

July 2025 we’re releasing a new collection of mugs available for membership. These atmospheric, blue clay vessels are created by Oakland-based ceramicist Angela Su right here in Lake Merritt.

~ How To Join ~

We release new mugs in batches of five throughout the month. Each drop is announced on our Instagram, but sign ups are in-person only. Once the release is announced, come by the Taproom to pick you perfect mug and join the community! Reach out to mugclub@rosestaproom.com with any questions.
